PHILIPPINE ASSOCIATION FOR THE CAREER ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATORS
The Philippine Association for the Career Advancement of Educators (PACAE) is an organization composed of educators nationwide whose advocacy is to provide continuing professional development opportunities to all teachers from public and private schools and across different disciplines. PACAE’s whole range of activities is in consonance with the thrust of the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) which is to develop the Filipino learners holistically by providing them with quality education. This can be achieved when teacher professionalism increases.
Our vision is to have highly competent and deeply committed educators.
Our mission is to offer professional development activities, like trainings, seminar-workshops and conferences by which teachers can enhance their professional knowledge and skills, develop their competence and improve the quality of the teaching and learning process.
- To encourage continuing professional development among educators
- To assist educators in the acquisition of updated knowledge and skills especially on new developments and new areas of practice in the field of education
- To challenge them to be passionate and deeply committed in their chosen vocation. Because, our belief is that, the most important resources of every school or any educational institution is its teachers.
The association is also committed to its mission of organizing continuing professional development activities that educators may engage in order to expand their professional knowledge, improve their professional skills, help clarify their professional values thus, enabling learners to be educated more effectively.
The association has conducted several national seminar-workshops on preschool education as well as special education in various places like Baguio City, Naga City, Tagaytay City, Cebu City, Davao City, Dipolog City and Pagadian City.
The association has also conducted national seminars for school administrators and two International Conferences on Early Childhood Education last April 2014 and 2015 at the Baguio Convention Center and Casa Pilar in Boracay Island respectively.
Experts in the field of Early Childhood/Preschool and Primary Level Education in the persons of Dr. Roderick Motril Aguirre, Prof. Shirley Equipado, Dr. Teresita Torres, Dr. Belinda Santos, Mrs. Gloria Cruz, Mrs. Shery Joy Yrigan, Dr. Fortunato Vendivil, Dr. Merry Ruth Gutierrez, Dr. Melchor Tatlonghari, Dr. Paraluman Giron, Dr. Jose Tuguinayo, Dr. Galileo Go, Dr. Maria Rita Lucas, Mrs. Carmela B. Garma, Ms. Lavina Chong and Maria Christina Weemaes-Lidman, were the resource speakers in the said seminars and conferences.
